Writing to Transform
A drop-in writing circle for women who want to transform their lives through writing.
Writing To Transform
$22 per session (pay at the studio or online below) Coming Soon ***NOTE*** Your first session is no cost. Just come and write. Make sure it's a good fit for you. These sessions are led by Kiala Givehand. You can attend one or come back every time we gather. Check the studio calendar for upcoming sessions. In these one-off sessions, participants experience the power of owning & sharing their story, rewriting old narratives, & becoming whole in a safe space surrounded by love, community, & support. The sessions are guided and various activities and prompts are provided to help participants dive deep in a short period. This is NOT a writing workshop. We write to heal and transform. We share to be heard and witnessed, not to be critiqued. Seats are limited to keep the group intimate and give time for everyone to share. Register in advance to secure your seat. |
Description & Details
Each session begins with a guided meditation/visualization. From there we explore activities and exercises to focus our intentions (and attention), inspire new ideas, and create a sense of mindfulness in a judgement-free zone. No meditation or writing experience necessary.
Led by book artist, published poet & writer, publisher, and former writing professor, Kiala Givehand, these guided sessions include prompts, practices, and time for actual writing and sharing. Each session is independent of the next or the one before it. Think of this as a weekly release of all the stuff that keeps us bogged down and feeling heavy in our lives. The writing you do in the session is not for sharing publicly (unless you want to), but is more for you to write yourself whole again.
